EMDR Trained Therapist

  • EMDR Therapist

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and practice as a licensed psychotherapist in Colorado and Illinois. I received my Masters from Colorado Christian University where I focused on specialized training in addictions counseling. I am also an EMDR trained therapist and work with children, teens and adults..

My goal as a therapist is to provide an environment that allows individuals to feel truly heard and known. I believe in the power of a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship. I utilize EMDR Therapy as well as integrating elements of dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based practice, and trauma-informed care. I strive to create a warm and inclusive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore and navigate their unique life experiences.

I specialize in working with individuals dealing with trauma, addiction, anxiety, and life transitions. I also have experience working with those in the early stages of substance use recovery and addressing issues related to identity, self-acceptance, and relationship dynamics. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges and develop coping strategies for a more fulfilling life.

In addition to work with addictions, I work with older children and teens struggling from  trauma, behavioral challenges, or self esteem issues to develop and strengthen their stability and confidence.

I was raised in Colorado where I grew up skiing in the winters, hiking in the summers, and dreaming about the mountains whenever I wasn’t playing on them. In 2013, I moved to Indianapolis to attend Butler University where I swam and studied marketing and Spanish. Following graduation, I moved to Chicago where I spent seven years working in the insurance industry. In 2021, I took a leap of faith and decided to pursue my passion for mental health by enrolling in Colorado Christian University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. While in pursuit of my master’s, I worked at a drug and alcohol recovery organization where I led an intensive outpatient group and provided individual therapy to those in the very early stages of sobriety. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our adorable miniature dachshund, Fitzgerald.
